The Town of Cornelius Department of Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture is excited to offer open play table tennis (ping pong).
Ping Pong will be open to youth and adults ages 13 and up and will be held at the Bailey Road Recreation Center, located at 11900 Bailey Road, at the new time of 4:30pm - 6:30pm each Friday.
On August 13th at 5:30pm participants will be taught the proper way to hold and use a table tennis paddle and the rules of the game from Simon Brain, USATT coach, on an intermittent basis.
There will be an annual fee assessed of $5.00 due at the participant's initial day.
This is a wonderful chance to make new friends, learn new skills, enhance old skills and have a GREAT time while playing table tennis! Table tennis will help you reduce unwanted stress and enhance your fitness level in a non-contact sport. The program is geared toward recreational players learning a new sport or jump-starting a fitness routine.
Paddles and ping pong balls are available for play. Feel free to bring your own equipment.
No experience required!
