Special Needs Youth Programs
|
A variety of fun programs are available to children with special needs. The focus is ABILITY not disability! Therapeutic Recreation uses treatment, leisure education and recreation participation to help people with illnesses, disabilities and other conditions to develop and use their leisure in ways that enhance their health, functional abilities, independence and quality of life. Join in the fun for a variety of activities in Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville. Financial assistance is available to residents of Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville. Multi-Sport & Games Camp
|
Physical Education instructors will lead sports activities and physical games in the Bailey Middle School gym. Sports activities will include: basketball, soccer, baseball, bowling, scooters and parachute. Camp counselors will also lead and engage children in a variety of game activities including: fine motor games, storytime, Legos, puzzles, blocks and small group games. Please bring a snack and water bottle.

Summer Science Fun Camp
|
Campers will have fun discovering about everything from dinosaurs, fossils and volcanoes, to why certain things float while others sink? Campers will also have fun exploring their senses! They will learn how sounds are made and how sight, smell and touch help us to interpret the world around us! Please bring a snack and water bottle.

Learn to Bowl Camp
|
Campers will learn the skills of the sport of bowling, "strike" up new friendships, and enjoy lots of fun activities we have planned for them! Activities will include: bowling, cosmic bowling, decorating a bowling pin to take home, and tokens for campers to use in the arcade on the last day of camp! There will be a quiet room reserved for us to play games, do puzzles, read and complete our fine motor activities. The campers will be provided with a drink each day. However, please send your camper with a snack each day.
