Join this six-week program where the goal is to get you from a couch potato to a runner! Come learn the proper warm-up techniques using a dynamic warm-up. The participant will be put through a running workout that will progress one towards being able to run a 5K. Participants will also be instructed on proper stretches for quicker recovery after the workout. This program is designed for beginner runners.
Jeff Heal, owner or Fitness Together in Cornelius and Davidson, will be leading this exciting class. Jeff has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. He was a high school track coach for 8 years coaching both boys and girls ages 14-18 in the jumping and hurdle events. He has been personal training for over 7 years working with more than 200 clients, including some professional athletes. He is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and studied Exercise Physiology at East Stroudsburg University where he was a nationally ranked high jumper and member of the 4X400 meter relay team.

In case there is inclement weather, the class will be held inside the gymnasium at Bailey Road Recreation Center (Bailey Middle School).
